Arlene Anderson Gourd Art at The Bow-Legged CowboyHandcrafted one-of-a-kind, unique gourd art by Arlene Anderson Why gourd art? The ancient craft of gourd pyrography ![]() Arlene Anderson's love of nature is reflected in her artwork. She enhances the beauty of the natural form of hard-shell gourds by means of pyrography and sculpting. Much of the inspiration for her art comes as a result of being a nature enthusiast, which is why she chooses to create most of her work in an outdoor environment. She also is inspired by her love of God's Word and often inscribes a scripture reference on the work that relates to her design. Arlene's studio is located in Denton, Texas. Arlene was featured in the October 2007 issue of Cowboys & Indians magazine as their Artisan of the Month. For more information please read the History of Gourd Art.
